01The Challenge
A rental operation generates obligations that generic booking software does not model: signed agreements tied to specific vehicles and dates, tolls and tickets arriving weeks after a rental closes, extensions that alter pricing mid-term, claims that must be traced back to a particular booking, and a daily plan that depends on all of it.

02The Approach
The vehicle record was made the centre of the data model, with bookings, agreements, charges, tolls, tickets, and claims all attaching to it, so that a vehicle's history is complete by construction.
Customer-facing booking and internal administration were built as one system over shared data rather than as separate applications requiring reconciliation.
Daily planning was treated as a first-class view, since it is the screen the operation is actually run from.
